About Eric

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a small guard, I use my quickness to blow by defenders and attack the rim. I can hit the three when needed and also take pride in playing tough defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to do anything in order to win, making my teammates better, and facing adversity. All of this while having fun in playing the sport I love with my basketball family.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in clubs such as Student Council, National Honor Society, and Rotary Interact.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills such as being the team captain on a state winning basketball team. I have learned to put my teammates first and face adversity together. To not fold under pressure in tough situations and making my teammates feel the same. I have also lead my Junior Class by being Junior Class president. To make sure my class is the best version it can be.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Challenges that I have faced are turning this program around my sophomore year. To being 8-14 my freshman year and then 24-5 and State Runner-up my Sophomore year. I had to put in work to change the program and bring back Smith Valley Basketball. Also faced a challenege when 3 of our seniors my Sophomore year graduated. Having to fill those spots and coming back to win state my Junior year.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will prepare athletes to suceed in basketball but to also get there athletes ready for there career and life afterwards.
