Ruiz Lerma enters the season as a relatively unknown prospect with the responsibility of being one of Bear Creek’s most important under the radar pieces. His varsity experience and ability to impact both ends make him a potential X-factor for Bear Creek. We’ve seen stretches where his energy and production helped keep Bear Creek competitive, but consistency will determine how good they look at how far they will go this year. He must become the team’s Swiss-army-knife type of player who brings leadership, defensive intensity, and be a consistent contributor. He also has great size and will need to use that to dominate for stretches and be a force. He will have to be the teams second option and get his name more out there.
