was a great mix of defense, playmaking, and shot creating in Cy Park’s win over Klein Oak during the early morning. Richardson is one of the best full court defenders I have seen all summer, and he does not take any days off when being on ball. Elton can create his own shot off the dribble and can also function as a secondary ballhandler for the Tigers when they need an extra playmaker. He is capable of running either guard slot with efficiency and today was no different.

Elton was probably a top 3 dual threat guard on Wednesday that I was able to watch, and they capitalized on a clutch prime time win over the Kinkaid School. Richardson is a speedy, physical defender on the perimeter and also is a valuable playmaker for the Tigers. He can shoot a mid-range off the dribble and drive to the basket drawing fouls and cashing in at the stripe. Elton is a good vocal defender as well, calling audible cues to his teammates and is one of the best motors on the floor. I’ll be looking for him to continue this momentum into the rest of grassroots and the academic school season.
