Elijah Payne, A 6-6 senior forward that is a rare left-handed scorer where he does most of his work in the paint shooting from 15-feet and in. Payne plays with great length and is a solid rebounder on both ends of the floor whether it’s scoring off put-backs or pushing the basketball in transition. On the defensive end, Payne plays with a ton of length where he can get out on the perimeter with his elite footwork. He is unafraid to play with a little physicality on the defensive end as he has continued to improve his body positioning.

The 6-7 rising senior plays a smooth inside-out game and has great footwork. Payne brings his physicality and strength to the floor every single night. Payne is also a superb ball-handler and a tenacious rebounder for his size. Payne is poised to have a big senior season and is expected to gain some looks as a primary wing as well. He is also a proficient passer who makes crisp cuts to the basket and can finish efficiently around the rim.

Payne comes to Bell Creek Academy from Brooks-DeBartolo where he was a double-double machine last season for the Phoenix. He is known to be one of the best inside/outside players you will find on the floor. Outside of his scoring and rebounding, Payne has also been known to be a great passer which is big for kick-out three-pointers. Expect a big junior season for the 6-4 small forward.
