‘s arrow was pointing up before the season started, and he proved to be quite the player for Durango this year. He went out and averaged 20.1 PPG, and had two 30 point games. 34 against Las Vegas and 30 against Green Valley. He has the ability to burn defenders in the open court, and it’s essentially a guaranteed bucket if he gets out in transition. I also believe he has the size and wingspan to defend at the college level. While he is uncommitted at the moment, that will likely change in the coming months.

Elijah Outlaw-McDaniel was cooking early for Durango. He opened the game with a sharp cut before adding another bucket in transition. Then settled in and connected on a series of tough shots in the first half. Including a turnaround jumper and a pair of threes to rack up 16 points. After the break, Outlaw-McDaniel stayed aggressive on the glass, pulling down a couple of offensive rebounds and converting inside. While also splashing in another triple.
Stats – 23 Points

would have a breakout season under new head coach Devin Matthews, and the 6’5” senior has done exactly that. He is currently averaging 20.1 points per game while helping lead the Trailblazers to a 13–6 record. Outlaw McDaniel can score from all three levels and is difficult to contain due to his slick footwork, strength, and attacking mindset. Beyond his scoring, he also makes a consistent impact on the defensive end, jumping passing lanes and sending shots into the stands with timely blocks. Overall, he has developed into a highly versatile two-way threat and has made significant strides since last season.

has taken his offensive production to new heights since I last saw him. He is averaging 22.7 PPG for the Trailblazers and it was evident on Saturday night that he can score with ease when he gets a quality look. He also put his athleticism on display when he got out in transition and dunked the ball with authority. As a defender, his wingspan creates problems for his opponents and he grabbed rebounds.

was keyed on by the defense at times, which gave him little room to operate. And although they did a great job limiting him, he did splash in a couple of shots. Outlaw McDaniel also got to the free throw line at a solid rate. Going forward, he’ll need to continue being assertive for the Trailblazers.

is now inside the top 40, sitting at #37. He has a unique blend of height, skill, and speed that helps him get to his spots on offense. He also knows how to use his wingspan on defense, which can lead to deflections or steals. Expect him to turn some heads this season at Durango.

has the speed and build to cover crafty offensive players. He stays active with his hands and will poke the ball away if the man he’s guarding gets careless. He can also turn defense into offense and throw down a dunk if he steals the ball around mid-court.

helped Durango secure the championship trophy on Saturday. He had some really nice takes to the rim, and also threw down a slam dunk that gave Durango some momentum. If he can continue to be assertive at the right times on offense, he should have a strong second half of the season.

leveraged his length and athleticism to help create offense for the Blazers. He was making some deceptive maneuvers in the paint, and Upland never really found a way to stop him. Outlaw McDaniels finished the game as one of Durango’s leading scorers, with 13 points.

I don’t remember EOM being this bouncy. The Durango wing who just finished his sophomore season put on an aerial display, hammering home several dunks, including floating to the rim for a thunderous 1 handed one. R&J athletes are hard to forget, making EOM a natural fresh face for the event.
