He’s the engine that makes the team go, as everything runs through him first. Each possession Hayeems attempts to beat the defense down the court never allowing them to set up properly. Defensively he stands out as a ball hawk constantly producing steals in the passing lanes through anticipation and quick reflexes. In the open floor, he shows full control of the game, running the break instinctively with an understanding of spacing as he attacks the middle of floor, never picks up his dribble early, doesn’t drift toward the sideline, and stays downhill keeping all options alive.
