Clearly one of the more active guards on display this fall, it was easy to see all the ways he stood out. He’s a smart, heady guard with the solid handle, sharp vision, and scoring polish to dominate opponents. Gross touches the paint to finish and sets up others but also knocks down jumpers at a high percentage. Reliable defender at the point of attack. Next in his development process is working on his shooting consistency off the dribble, as it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain. Elijah is a high-energy player with a high basketball IQ. Knows how to get teammates involved and shows effort on both sides of the ball. Makes great passes, finishes well at the rim, and makes the right read off screens. Knows how to get stops when necessary and rebounds the ball well for a smaller guard.
