About Ebubechukwum

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a fierce and dominant competitor that plays every game to win, both offensively and defensively. I am big believer in teamwork above individual talents where everyone pulls together to win as a team. I will do everything necessary both on and off the court for my team to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I value teamwork and relationships a lot, very respectfull of other peoples opinion. I have a competitive spirit, always eager to learn and keep developing myself.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a volunteer youth leader in church. Most times we help to teach and organize kids during church programs.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Teamwork, Orgnanizational skills, communication skills, leadership and service.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Not really a challenge but what I consider a source of motivation. I feel incredibly motivated by the progress I have made having entered the gym and touched basketball for the first time just about 3 years ago in my 8th grade after my family relocated to United States from Nigeria. I feel very confident on my ability to compete on the next level as I continue to work hard and develop myself.

Ebube Joseph’s stock continues to rise as he maintains a strong high school basketball career at Grand Oaks. Since I first saw him play, the senior forward has consistently made plays at the basket offensively. In the recent game against Cypress Springs, he displayed aggression by taking the ball to the basket, drawing contact on numerous occasions. As a result, he emerged as the leading scorer for Grand Oaks High School, scoring 14 points against Cypress Springs High School.
