Adrian Maloney Jr | Prep Hoops Scout
Easton is an explosive athlete who electrifies the game with his ability to finish above the rim. His quick first step and powerful leaping ability make him a constant threat to attack the basket, whether it’s soaring for a dunk in transition or elevating over defenders in the half-court. Easton’s high-flying style not only brings energy to his team but also forces opponents to think twice about challenging him at the rim. With his combination of athleticism and fearless mindset, he has the ability to change momentum in an instant and ignite the crowd with highlight-worthy plays.

Easton was one of the players I was not familiar with coming into the event, but he caught my attention immediately with physical, tough play on both ends and he was efficient when scoring in the paint. He was a good perimeter defender, using length and aggressive on ball defense to force bad decisions and turnovers. Gardner helped create for teammates as well when he was not scoring the ball.

, a 6’4” shooting guard, played with a combination of smoothness, elusiveness, and creativity that set him apart on the court. His smooth footwork and quick changes of pace allowed him to navigate through defenders with ease, showing a knack for making difficult plays look casual. Gardner excelled at creating plays off the dribble, using his fluid ball-handling and sharp decision-making to keep defenders on their heels, consistently setting up opportunities for himself and his teammates.

Easton is a fast, smart guard that causes so many deflections with his quick hands you’d think his nickname would be The Flash. He never stops hustling – always moving, getting to his spots down the floor, and setting himself and his teammates up for success. He has excellent court vision and can rapidly identify which of his teammates has the best opportunity or if he has the best look himself to capitalize on. He’s got a long frame that he uses in multiple ways and a beautiful touch on his shots. He’s skilled at following shots – whether they’re a teammate’s or his own – and grabbing offensive boards for second and third opportunities for his team. Gardner is showing no signs of slowing down and I imagine his Junior campaign is going to be one not to miss.
