The senior used his length to attack the paint on multiple occasions. Scyrkels is a matchup nightmare for opponents thanks to his ability to do a little bit of everything. Dylan can handle the ball well at 6’4″, while also being able to post up smaller defenders. Dylan also hit a big-time 3-pointer in the second half and secured another bucket via an offensive rebound in which he skied above two Edison players. Look for Scyrkels to be a key component if the Cardinals are going to advance past Del City next week.

Collinsville has reached back to back 5A State Tournaments, and even won 22 games this season. Yet they feel overlooked in the Class 5A playoff picture. Which is odd as they have reliable go to scorer in Scyrkels. He can get his from all over the court. Tall and physical around the rim with drives and posting up mismatches. Can work in the mid-range and even knock down long jumpers. Don’t be surprised if the Cardinals pull an “upset” or two to reach the State Tournament and it will likely come with clutch scoring from Scykels.

Scyrkels is the go to man for Collinsville. Lived at the rim in their Saturday win. Good lift and toughness as a finisher. While he’s a primary scorer, does play with his head up and make good reads on drives to the hoop. Great representation of a balanced Collinsville program that has won a lot of games over the last five+ years. Even stepped up to take a charge on the defensive end. Expect the senior to be a clutch bucket getter all season, especially come February and March.

A sharpshooter, who was the ring leader for an impressive Cardinals shooting display against MSM. Scyrkels first got it going with his shooting. Then brought the rest of his game into play. Went right at and scored through the biggest and most athletic player on the court. Used his size on the offensive glass. Collinsville is a balanced team with a variety of players capable of scoring double figures. As they challenge for a third straight 5A State Tournament trip, Scykels could be the go to man during big moments.
