A rare case of a prospect who has actually been playing up an age group for several years now, Dylan Gauda Dylan Gauda 6'3" | SG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2029 State NJ is a young and talented guard who possesses an intriguing blend of legitimate ball skills and a natural feel for scoring the basketball along with the ability to find a rhythm offensively from multiple different spots on the floor. Gauda is impressive at picking his spots within the flow of the offense without sacrificing his aggression— most noticeably being effective at making quick decisions and producing offense particularly off the catch, confidently stepping into outside shots with rhythm and strong balance coupled with attacking closeouts with quickness and explosiveness to get downhill and finishing strong at the basket and even showing an unselfish willingness to move the ball when an advantage isn’t there. Gauda does posses some of the wiggle and creativity off the bounce necessary to generate his own offense in isolation, making it an intriguing aspect of his game to monitor in the next stages of his development going forward.

Gauda is primed to make an immediate impact this season for the Falcons with his ability to score inside and out. The 6’3 guard has a good release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Gauda uses his size to see over his defender and rarely forces shots in the half court. He works hard on the defensive end and moves well without the ball in his hands. Gauda is a lanky guard prospect who should make an impact at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.
