About Drew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is that I am like a silent assassin. I allow my game to talk for me out there without saying a word. I take a lot of pride on the defensive end as I know that’s how championships are won. Defense first mentality! On the offensive end I just take what the defense gives me. I use my IQ of the game to make the best basketball play possible each possession.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a self starter that loves to accomplish goals that I have set for myself. I am detail oriented with a No Quit Attitude! I take pride on my effort, energy and attitude on the court and in life. I give maximum effort at all times, I keep high energy throughout and I always keep a positive attitude regardless. I know if I control those 3 things I will always win in life.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received student of the month a few times since Middle School. I take pride in leading by example.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I volunteer as much as possible at school helping teachers with small tasks. In the classroom when we get paired up for assignments or projects I always take the lead to ensure my classmates stay on task. All the teams I have played on I have been a team captain. I am a Leader and not a follower.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The death of my grandfather while he was in prison hit me hard at a young age while in Elementary. With the help of my parents and sister I am now at ease with the passing of him. My 8th grade season I lost my head coach due to personal reasons for him, that was hard to handle but I overcame that and helped my team collect its 3rd straight Championship.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for colleges that will help me become what I want to be in my adult life. That is Electrical Engineering. I am looking at Colleges on the East Coast right now. I would like to attend a faith based college that offers basketball and my field of study I am interested in.
