Drayden Gilbert Drayden Gilbert 6'2" | SG/CG Minden | 2030 LA is a prospect I have seen in only one setting, but he left a lasting impression. His size and visible speed are qualities that could translate well to the varsity level, giving him a physical foundation to build on. Gilbert also showed an ability to make the right play consistently, an important quality for a young player entering high school basketball.

Those instincts give him the potential to become a valuable glue guy, someone who contributes through effort, decision-making, and a willingness to fill whatever role the team needs. That versatility can be especially important at the next level, where a player’s responsibilities may change from game to game. Gilbert has the potential to contribute in different ways, and his energy matches his physical tools. He is one to watch as he begins his high school career.

Gilbert stood out as a high-energy prospect whose calling card is relentless effort, which was displayed in both 3v3 situational play and full court 5v5 competition. Gilbert is the quintessential high-intensity “glue guy” who elevates team play without needing multiple shots or plays run for him. Being a multi-sport athlete that includes track & field experience in northern Louisiana, his conditioning, quickness, and competitive drive stand out as his core strengths. His transition to up-tempo Highschool Basketball as a multi-sport athlete will be exciting to witness!!
