About Drake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a guard who plays with energy and confidence. I am a knockdown shooter. I can score in a lot of other ways too, make smart plays, and I always try my best to bring effort on defense. I like to lead and do whatever it takes to win. I hate to lose.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’ve got a “Earn Everything” mindset. I’m focused, and driven, and I believe the work you do when no one’s watching is what really matters. I stay humble but hungry. I love the work in the dark and would not change it for anything.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am a FCA leader at my high school. I run my own basketball training business and I am starting to build a clothing brand around motivation.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned how to lead, especially with younger players I train or play with. I know how to work with a team, communicate, and stay positive through ups and downs. I am thankful for the opportunity I have to train younger athletes, they have helped me a lot.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

No, I have been very fortunate with good people in my life and I have had great health.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a competitive D1 program that values work ethic, character, and development — both as a player and a man. A school that feels like family and supports both my athletic and academic goals.
