He is a big-time difference-maker due to his size, athleticism, strength, and explosiveness. Drake is a monster on the boards, he cleans up the glass on both ends. Mikkelsen has huge upside on defense. Drake is also a rim-rocking dunker who quickly changes the momentum with his powerful slams.

It’s easy to see why Drake is a D1 level football prospect. He has a strong and explosive 6’5 frame that other 16u players simply can’t match, and those physical tools help him produce on the hardwood as well. Against Minnesota Fury he impressed with some quick cuts out of the dunker spot, transition finishes, and high flying rebounds. Threw down a pair of dunks as he effortlessly exploded off two feet towards the basket. Drake showed he can defend nearly every spot on the floor, and is someone who just goes out and plays hard on every possession.

I think we move Drake back into the top 15-20 2027 prospects. He thrives in his role with TEAM Warwick and they get his best self. He hasn’t grown past 6’5” but he runs like a gazelle and can fly off the ground. Defensive versatility on the perimeter and defends a ball screen to perfection. His lateral movement seems top percentile.

To me, Mikkelsen is a tough one to rank. I think his recruitment is highly dependent on if he grows a few inches. I have him at 6’5”, and he was able to produce at a high level for TEAM Warwick ‘s top team at that size at the 15U level. He’s got long arms and runs extremely well with a high motor. So there’s a lot to like about him and what he already can do. I just don’t think he’s a wing, offensively.
