About Dinny

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

“I’d say my play style is smart and team first. I play hard on both ends and always try to make the right play, whether that’s scoring, passing, or playing tough defense. I like moving the ball, taking good shots, and doing whatever helps the team win. I stay coachable and try to do all the little things right.”

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

“I’m pretty competitive and always want to get better. I take coaching seriously and try to learn from every game and practice. I stay positive, work hard, and push myself and my teammates to keep improving. I don’t back down when things get tough.”

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I just finished up a season with peninsular gold UAA and it went well. In the past I have played with Oakland soldiers and Palo Alto flight.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

“I’ve learned how to be a better teammate by communicating more and helping guys stay locked in during games. I’ve also started stepping up as more of a leader—keeping the energy up and leading by example at practice. Off the court, I try to be respectful, stay involved, and support others when I can.”

What type of college are you looking for?

“I’m looking for a college where I can grow both as a player and a person. I want a strong basketball program that pushes me to get better and coaches who believe in development. I’m also looking for a school with good academics and a team culture that feels like family.”
