DBN is one of those types that likes to create his own rhythm and then disrupt it with some shifty moves while trying to get down hill against his defender. We saw this several times on Saturday morning and it helped his team stick in it until the very end. When they needed a go-to bucket, it was either DBN or #1 for their group that took over. It was noteworthy as they were staying hungry and aggressive on the offensive side of the ball, especially in transition against the press. Before the final buzzer sounded, DBN suffered a lower leg injury when an opponent when to dive for a loose ball on the floor. It was completely un-intentional but it did impact the outcome of the contest from a spectators point of view. I’m not sure if he will play the rest of the weekend but either way, it doesn’t change the fact that he did his thing to kick off this weekend.
