Mitchell’s game has evolved from physical downhill driver and finisher at the rim to a player who still does that well but has increased the consistency of his perimeter shooting. Mitchell brings toughness to both ends of the floor, has the size, strength and mobility to guard on the perimeter and inside and his ability to stretch the floor has opened up driving lanes that compliments his attack mentality well.

Mitchell proved to be a strong perimeter shooter capable of changing momentum quickly. He consistently knocked down shots with confidence and looked comfortable from deep range. His ability to space the floor created problems for defenses throughout the event. He also competed well defensively and stayed active without the basketball. Shooters with his confidence and mechanics are always valuable assets.

Mitchell is a strong, powerful and physical guard/wing athlete who is best as a transition slasher and scorer. His offense is often predicated by his defense as his instincts allow him to anticipate in passing lanes then attack the rim in transition. Mitchell’s combination of quick lateral speed and physicality make him a lockdown type on-ball defender on the perimeter. In half-court offense, the rising sophomore uses an explosive first step to blow-by his defender and put pressure on the rim.
