About Devan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very coachable player. I have been mentioned by my peers and opposing coaches as a high IQ and efficient player. I am a team oriented player looking to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have been taught at a very young age to have a next play mentality. I am a very competitive person that prefers to let my game do the talking. I don't get too high with the highs and too low with the lows.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been very involved in community service and co-founded a non-profit organization called Lending Hand Global Foundation. Our mission is to read to and provide geography books to Title 1 schools in Central Florida. Since inception, we have raised funds and donated over 5000 books to local schools. I have done numerous service projects through the NHS at my school as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Concentrate, focus, listen, positive attitude. Those are the words that have been spoken to me by my parents before drop-off at school everyday since the 1st grade. Applying those virtues have made me the person that I am on the basketball court and off of it. I have co-lead an organization for last three years. I have been a leader and a captain for my varsity team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to further my education and playing career at a school and coaches that will give me an opportunity.
