Hector Marquez | Prep Hoops Scout
Bowden is a player who has next-level skills. While he stands at 6’1, he does have some size at the PG position that could help his case as he looks to play at the next level. Bowden is averaging 17 PPG this season, and he is doing it with a mixture of shooting in the midrange, attacking the rim, and occasionally hitting from beyond the arc. Bowden sees the floor well and is a player who could average 4+ assists a game. Bowden is a solid under-the-radar talent.

Bowden was Weber’s primary offensive engine, especially in the first half, consistently getting into the paint off the dribble and creating open shots for himself. He showed good vision, delivering bounce passes and finding open teammates when defenses collapsed. While his scoring efficiency dipped in the second half and overtime, he still came through with multiple clutch finishes and contact layups late in regulation to keep Weber alive. Defensively, he competed, but his biggest value came as a creator who put constant pressure on Lehi’s defense. A high-usage guard who showed good finishing and playmaking despite inconsistent shooting late.

Bowden is a good PG that can shoot and we believe that he will be a much improved shooter this coming season. It would not be a surprise if he increases his three pointers made by 10-15+ heading into his senior season.
