Ross is poised to be Jordan’s leader on the court this season with the departure of several notable names, combined with his quick rise this summer. He showed to the state why he should be regarded as a top point guard with his elite passing ability, vision, and creativity despite his less than ideal size. Also a capable shooter and gets his shot off with accuracy when left open and can get hot in a hurry. Defensively really makes guys work with his low center of gravity and aggressiveness.

Derek Ross Jr Derek Ross Jr 5'11" | PG Jordan | 2025 State NC looks ready to take over the reigns at the point guard spot over at Jordan High after a solid sophomore campaign. He’s running with the NC Wildcats on the grassroots scene, showing off his poise at the floor general spot with his ability to get into the teeth of the defense and make things happen off the bounce. He does well to control the pace and defend when he’s on the floor to make an impact.
