About Daylin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say that I am a point forward. I can run and guard all 5 positions. My 39" vertical makes for easy rebounds and put backs, and my speed makes it easy for me to run the floor for coast to coast points. My defense is also a big cornerstone of my play style. My long wingspan makes it easy for me to stop and block defenders, my high vertical also helps with blocks.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very competitive & I believe in not taking a play off. Any chance you get to make a play, such as scoring or getting a steal, take it. I don't let trash talk or a bad play slow me down because as a player, on the court, you have to have a short term memory. Learn from your mistakes, don't yearn on your mistakes.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At my school, I am a part of FBLA (Future Buisness Leaders of America), FCA (Future Christian Athletes), and AAA (African American Achievers).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a big leader, especially on my basketball team. My leadership skills also branch off to my communication skills and good sportsmanship. I am a unselfish player with the ball and do not mind to dish off good assist to my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I like to play pick up games with older kids and college players to better myself. It is challenging, but it makes me play at a faster pace and gets me better quicker than playing with kids my age.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am not picky when it comes to colleges, but I am looking for a college that can help me move onto the next level of basketball. I'd like a good finance, business, or software engineering major.
