Healey Hill | Prep Hoops Scout
Davis Tokheim Davis Tokheim 5'9" | PG Des Moines Christian | 2027 State IA was a one man army in this game. For starters, he was unstoppable when it came to getting to the rim. His quick burst and flexibility allowed him to get by defenders consistently. His physicality very much stood out on his drives as well. He was great at using his shoulders and his solid frame to bump his defenders off balance and create angles for himself to the rim. Once he got to the rim, his touch was great with both hands. And he was elite at stretching out past contests and absorbing contact at the rim for and-1 finishes. His ability to get to the paint allowed him to create many advantages and show off his playmaking chops. Davis made reads at high speeds and was great as an interior drop-off passer, creating many open shots for his team around the rim. He always keeps his head up when he is attacking downhill, and he was great at seeing over the defense and making reads in the pick and roll, resulting in even more paint buckets for his team. He was great at whipping passes with both hands, and he created constant advantage for his team. He was elite on defense as well. He was super engaged throughout this game and locked down his matchup. He was great at drawing charges and getting in passing lanes for steals. Couple that with the fact that he was great on the offensive glass, and you truly have an elite all-around performance.
