One of many athletic high-energy Purple Hurricanes, the freshman is arguably Fitzgerald’s best player. The lefty leads the team in scoring (14.6 ppg) and rebounding (6 rpg). On Saturday, Devine put up a game-high 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Darryon is always moving on both ends of the floor. He’s quick to get out in transition, running the floor for three hoops. Devine uses his springs to attack the glass, scoring thrice on putbacks. What I like most about Darryon is his ability to influence games aside from scoring the ball. He routinely fills up the box score, showing a nose for the ball as his feel leads to positive results. Devine is a sneaky good freshman to keep an eye on in South Georgia.
