Gipson matched up with the aforementioned Robinson for most of their game and considering he gives up about three to four inches, did a commendable job. Timberline relies on Gipson and his strength to be their frontcourt tone setter and he came through against Beach with a solid game on both ends. Although he was off the mark most of the night with his jumper, he found a lot of success in and around the paint off rolls, dives, and offensive boards.

Playing in the shadows of player of the year and UNLV commit Brooklyn Hicks Brooklyn Hicks 6'3" | CG Timberline | 2023 State #168 Nation WA might have him under the radar. He was still a good complimentary scorer to Hicks this season. Timberline will have to replace a lot of buckets and he will be a good candidate to do so. He has a really soft touch on his jumper and can knock down shots from mid-range and beyond. He got open looks because of the attention on Hicks and knocked down shots. He has good enough size and his skill set is underrated. I belive that will show up next season as the go to GUY. and potential rankings riser.

Darrell was a standout on the football team for Timberline in the fall and had a phenomenal season during the winter for the basketball squad. He’s extremely athletic and plays very tough defense. His aggressive play is not for every opposing players, as he can bother them quite a bit with tough hard-nosed defense. He improved his jump shot quite a bit, helping him standout more. He contributed all season and produced well alongside UNLV commit, Brooklyn Hicks Brooklyn Hicks 6'3" | CG Timberline | 2023 State #168 Nation WA .

Gipson is one of the tougher defenders and rebounders on this list. When I found out he’s a linebacker in football it all made sense. He’s got great footwork and can break defenders down off the dribble, he’s quick, strong, and has a relentless attitude. Gipson works best out of the mid-range, facing up and either pulling the trigger on the jumper or attacking his man. Again, I think he has the ability to develop a consistent three-point shot to his game and really add a big element to his game.
