Hawken made an impressive run to the state final four in Division IV and Hill was a key part of that run. Hill has the quickness and explosiveness to play above the rim and is really tough to stop when he gets downhill with the ball in his left hand. In the playoff run Hill had the game-winning shot against NDCL in the district final. It seems like Hill is a little under the radar right now as a prospect and could make some noise at midwest live with a talented Hawken squad.

A recent highlight tape of Hill against Painesville Riverside really shows the growth in his game from freshman to sophomore season. One of the more athletic guards in his class, Hill has improved as a 3-point shooter, extending his range this season. Tough to stop getting downhill at the rim, Hill is a strong left-handed driver when he gets a head of steam. I’ll be curious to see how Hill has continued to grow as I caught him during the high school season opener and likely won’t catch him again until the spring/summer.

Hawken has a talented team and Hill has some of the most long-term upside among any player at the event. The lefty wing guard is explosive on the ball and can create for himself. Able to blow by the first defender to either look to score at the rim or pull-up with the jumper, I liked the elevation that Hill gets on his jump-shot. With soft touch in the in between areas using the floater and mid-range, I want to see Hill continue to attack off the bounce and not settle for step back jumpers he can get to anytime. A prospect I’ll be following closely over the next couple years.

A player who could fit the category of guard or wing, I decided to put Hill in here because of his ability to attack a closeout and comfort playing as a wing guard off the ball. The lefty wants to attack downhill and does so with good patience in the half-court. Best in transition where he can use his athleticism to finish at the rim with a dunk or a layup, Hill will look to throw one down when he gets a runway. The duo of Hill and fellow 2026 guard Gregory Price Gregory Price 6'1" | CG Hawken | 2026 State OH should help Hawken this winter as a sleeper team to watch in northeast Ohio.
