Extremely aggressive big man who made his presence felt with Full Package McCormick. As a defender he did a great job of cutting off driving lanes and sliding his feet. While he used extra strength on the offensive end to finish through contact and stay aggressive on the boards. One of the most physical prospects I covered this past weekend. Used that confidence to win big on the glass in the quarterfinal on Sunday vs lockdown, too. 

Saw Simon play last year a couple times on the Prep Hoops Circuit and once during scholastic season. Continues to be an intriguing prospect with upside. His development to catch on the block with poise and confidence while remaining strong and mobile has become big vantage point. He sees the floor and lets plays work within flow. Stays active on the glass on both ends. Defensively stays down vs pump fakes or hesitations against similar size and remains balanced. Converted on multiple finishes around the rim in a variety of ways. Has an old school feel to game which is fun to see in today’s basketball world. Helped lead team to two wins today and a spot in the quarters tomorrow.

Nearly had a double double vs another skilled interior team. Tallied 11 points on 8 rebounds with half of those being from the offensive end. Made a catch on the block after posting hard then 2 crab dribble middle to get defender on weak side to turn and score off glass. Ran with pace on a fast break to catch and score in transition. Posted up hard again and drew extra to make a skip pass over the top. Saw him play over the summer and is continuing to make strides with poised hands and feet at the true big position.

Second time seeing the Prospect post play this year. Fills the 5 man role for his team but can be optional in a stretch 4 position at the next level. Catches it on the block with solid poise and ensures ball is at least level chested. Possesses clean footwork on the block. Was active in center field on press breaker and is consistent grabbing rebounds. Promising upside.

Saw him play in the last game of Saturday evenings slate. Was the team’s main big during the weekend helping them go 4-0. Has a soft touch around the rim when getting fed from the guards. Liked his ability to really be patient and keep the ball high away from defenders on the catch. Will look for kickouts after the retrieval. Posed a challenge in the paint on the defensive end for opposing players on drives.

Big presence inside who plays tall and uses his length well. Shows good discipline defensively—stays grounded on shot fakes. Has soft touch on a baby hook and doesn’t force looks around the rim. Also flashes good feel as a passer out of the post. Solid interior piece with patience and poise.
