Damonte played a key role on both ends of the floor in Central’s win on Thursday night. Defensively he was giving up some size to his matchup, but competed with physicality to prevent good looks around the basket. He stood his ground and was able to limit the amount of low-post touches Johnson could get. On the offensive end his agility at 6’4 made him tough to matchup with. Showed a quick first step that allowed him to get to the rim from the wing and extend to finish. Came up with key plays at key moments of the game.
