We have him listed as a small forward and that’s probably accurate, but the young man can dominate basically anywhere. Stephens is strong and physical and can absolutely get bully buckets. Stephens has a next level look to him. That simple. He has a strong frame and the athletic abilities to go with it. Stephens can get out in the open floor and did a nice job filling lanes in transition. He played hard all night and was willing to work off the ball.

Stephens had himself a really nice month of June. He’s 6-6, but his frame allows him to play even bigger. Stephens has shown the willingness and ability to simply out muscle opponents for position under the rim. He was a constant double-double threat in points and rebounds all month. He’s going to be really tough to stop come December.

Stephens was very solid in Waterford Mott’s win last week. He really showed off his ability to play a power game and physically earn good looks and buckets by the rim. Stephens had 2 first half offensive rebound and put back buckets. He had at least 1 more put back in the second half. Stephens did a nice job keeping the offensive rebounds high and going right back up with it. His highlight may have come off a baseline catch when he took 1 big aggressive step to the rim and scored.

Stephens was an active defender with a good feel for that end. He timed his jumps and was able to block some shots and pressure the offensive player.
