A returning double digit scorer and All-Region selection from last season, Cunningham brings valuable experience and production to the Oscar Smith backcourt. A strong, compact and quick lead guard, he plays with a high motor and impacts the game in a variety of ways. Cunningham is a capable playmaker who uses his quickness to create scoring opportunities for his teammates, while his strength and competitiveness allow him to rebound effectively from the point guard position. He is particularly active on the defensive end, where he applies pressure and brings consistent energy and effort. Cunningham should once again be an important contributor for Oscar Smith this season.

Buckingham may be one of the smallest guards in the entire state on a state contender, but don’t get it twisted as he can flat out play and makes everything easier for his teammates. He has a great IQ and sees the floor well to find open teammates, he’s lightning quick and shifty off the bounce with the ability to touch the paint at will, he has a great middle game to negate his height, and he is a pesky on ball defender as well.
