has been one of my favorite players to watch at the 16u level this spring. At 5’6 he’s absolutely fearless attacking the basket. Against Geek Squad on Saturday he was turning steals into transition buckets, could score off the drive, and on one occasion even took a taller guard into the post and backed him down into a baby-hook shot. Early in the game he had already racked up three lay-ups, a three pointer, and a steal. He helped lead his team to a 3-1 record with their only loss coming by 3 against
Team Herro
EYBL.

Possessing elite-level quickness and athletic bounce that is nothing short of eye-popping, Clark was outstanding for a very good MGC Elite Basketball squad in its hard-earned win over the Geek Squad out of Chicago on Saturday. Clark finished the game with 15 points, hitting a wing three while also getting to the basket and finishing over taller defenders with his impressive verticality and unending aggressiveness. Clark is a member of the Wisconsin Lutheran program that went 30-0 and won the Division 1 state title for the second year in a row — and third crown in succession after capturing the D2 championship in 2024 — and will contend for additional playing time with the Vikings next winter after coming off the bench as a sophomore.

Cornell is an absolute pest on the ball defensively. In a win over D1 Minnesota Gold he was constantly putting opposing point guards under pressure, and was able to force a number of mistakes throughout the game. Standing at 5’5 he brings lightning quickness on both ends of the floor, and was able to establish two feet in the paint consistently to make plays on offense. He has the touch to put up a soft floater over size, or can stop, pivot, and locate an open shooter out on the perimeter.

Clark was one of the more fun prospects I was able to watch this weekend at the Champions Center in Appleton. Cornell’s quickness and energy is the first thing that stood out to me when I was able to watch his game on Saturday morning. Clark is the best defender I saw this entire weekend. The backourt player who attends Wisconsin Lutheran, was a menace on the ball in the full court, and a disruptor in passing lanes. Frankly put, Clark can solely impact opposing offenses by himself with his defensive skillset. Offensively, Clark commanded the offense with his poise and his tight handle. When he got downhill, Cornell was extremely unselfish and was looking to dish the ball to his teammates for kick out threes and layups.

Cornell is a lightning quick guard out of Wisconsin Lutheran. He came up with some big plays on Friday night utilizing his quickness to pressure opposing guards and force mistakes out on the perimeter. From there he had the speed in the open floor to score easy buckets in transition. Someone with the handle and shiftiness to work his way through tight spaces on defense, and is fearless going up to finish against bigger defenders.

One of the shorter guards I had the pleasure of watching over the weekend but size does not equate to talent. Helped lead team to a 3-1 mark over the weekend while handling point guard duties. Really shifty with the ball and is very even keel with his handling skills. Uses quickness abilities whether on offense or defense. Keeps the ball close and low to the ground. Tough to stay in front of.
