I had watched Kopp play a couple times with his Meanstreets EYCL team over the spring months but June was the first time catching the forward play with his Auburn team. He makes his presence felt with a high motor and toughness he brings to the game. His communication stood out on both ends of the floor where he directed teammates on screens or switches/stays. Defensively he also helps force turnovers by walling up effectively to rim protect and can challenge on the perimeter. Offensively Kopp plays with a head of steam to attack the basket at will. He converts off 2 step jab moves, cutting off the ball, shows touch on runners, and has continued to develop a bright spot form 3 land. His passion, physical motor, and layers of effort should continue to garner attention from coaches at the next level.

Kopp scored a couple of crucial and impactful buckets in the teams early morning Saturday game to help gut out a close win from a double digit behind comeback. I’ve watched the Auburn 2027 Forward play once earlier this spring and once with his school team over summer league and he brings a high energetic motor with passion to the game. Down low, Kopp endures physicality and will help win on the glass with a lot of effort. He has a solid frame and rim runs competitively with a motor throughout. He’ll fight for positioning offensively and will bang with bigger bodies on the defensive end. The 6’3 Forward from Auburn should be a slated for a standout senior season and should continue to gain more traction on the recruiting trail.

6’4″ wing out of Rockford Auburn. Has an excellent build and athletic abilities for his game. But is better off as a shooting guard at the next level. Saw a ton of explosiveness from him against Loyola which including a ferocious two-handed dunk in transition. As a defender, he did a great job of sliding his feet and avoided silly fouls.
