Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Reilly, a senior out of North Smithfield High School, is one of the state’s most consistent long range shooters and a prospect that is capable of going for 30 on any given night. At 6’4″ with long arms, he presents as a difficult matchup for opponents because he can score with his size and length in the paint or drag slower-footed defenders out to the perimeter where his shot making is a real threat. He plays hard on the defensive end of the floor, making an impact on the glass and using his length to make plays in passing lanes.

Reilly has a lot of prototypical wing skills. The rising senior is 6-foot-4 and long, but he can do more with his handle than many people his size. He’s able to get to the hoop using a variety of dribble moves, but he can also shoot the ball from all three levels and knows how to play within the flow of the offense. Reilly looks a lot better — both physically and skill-wise — since the last time I saw him, which bodes really well for his development moving forward. If he has a big senior season, I could see him going prep for a post grad year and eventually playing very high level D3 ball.

Connor Reilly Connor Reilly 6'4" | SF North Smithfield | 2026 State New E is a lights-out shooter from the perimeter from the shooting guard position. He excels from three-point land with a pretty shot off the catch and on the move. Reilly specializes in the corners, but his shooting spans the entire perimeter. He is an athletic mover and looks good going the basketball, albeit in limited opportunities. Reilly shows some passing flashes and makes good decisions that lead to good things happening on the court. Defensively, he is a competent off-ball defender and likes to create turnovers in the passing lanes. Reilly even competes on the board on both ends. His main strength right now is the shooting, but the other aspects of his game have yet to be fully realized at maximum levels and should be interesting to monitor going forward.
