About Connor

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Team-focused, executing plays according to my role in them. I enjoy having all roles on the court, assisting my teammates in making successful turns for everyone to have the chance to score points and show our best skills together as a team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a competitive person, I like to compete at any level, and I can be very hard on myself if I perform poorly or don't win when I expect to - honestly, all the time. I am driven to succeed especially at sports where I feel more equal to others, and I really enjoy and rely on having a good and positive team atmosphere to not only make me do better but let me help others be positive.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in sports nearly year round so I haven't gotten involved in clubs for some time; I was in a gaming club in 7th grade at my previous school and enjoyed the camaraderie besides the actual time to do those activities.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel I am getting better at speaking up and becoming more of a team leader, encouraging the team and taking on other roles on the basketball court, which has made me much more confident as well. I love teamwork and playing sports with nice and genuine people like I have on my basketball teams now has increased my own ability to be more confident and grow as a leader.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My previous school was difficult for me, I felt left out of the class and the teams I was on and did not have any positive interaction with anyone which was lonely. It kept me from speaking up or making friends and after transferring to my current school with kids who genuinely wanted me to be there, and to actively be my friend, my life has significantly changed for the better.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to go to a four-year college that allows me to study any number of subjects, like computers, graphics, video, coaching, and more. I want to have as many options as possible to choose from and to be able to keep playing the sports I love because I genuinely love playing basketball, running track and being on a team.
