About Collin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as unselfish. I have a high basketball IQ and understand I need to initiate the offense by getting my teammates involved. I’m a spot up shooter and can also create my shot off the dribble. I can use my dribble to attack the basket and finish at the rim. I’m a lockdown defender full and half court both in man and zone.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a competitive drive both in the game and in practice. I have a strong work ethic and understand preparation is key. I’m dedicated to the game and have a constant drive to be better. I know winning is important at times, but at the end of the day, I understand everything is about getting better. I’m happy and blessed to be playing the game I love.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I put just as much work in the classroom as on the court. I have received academic awards for my dedication to academics. I also received some national award for Physical Education class.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball I have learned to be a leader both on and off the court. Being dedicated to my game has taught me to be prepared and motivated in the classroom. I learned how to find successes in failures. I also developed determination to grow and improve after each game. Basketball has also allowed me to use my leadership and talents in the community and working with other elementary students

What type of college are you looking for?

My goal is to play at the division 1 level where I can succeed both in the classroom and on the court.
