Unfortunately for Laney and Lamb their season came to an end with the 51-33 loss to Hoggard in the 8A East final but there is still a lot to be proud of for Laney as a program and Lamb individually. In the loss, Lamb finished with 17 Points, 6 Rebounds, 3 Assists, and 2 Steals on 7-14 from the floor, 1-2 from deep, and 2-2 from the line. Lamb had a great performance but unfortunately the rest of the group had a hard time getting it going offensively. The Hamilton College commit scored over half of his team’s points in this one using his fundamentally sound skillset. Lamb has great three level touch, the ability to get to his spots whenever he wants, and contributes in multiple facets of the game with consistency. Credit to the Hamilton staff for getting this one done, they have themselves a quality player for years to come as Lamb still has more room to grow in his development.

The elder of the Lamb brothers is one of the craftier guys in the region with the ball in his hands. He’s not super explosive but has more than enough counters to get to if he’s stopped on his initial move. He finished the game with 15 points 7 rebounds and 2 steals.

College coaches that are looking for a high IQ player that can be productive at multiple positions on the court should be giving him a call. He led all scorers with 23 Points, was extremely efficient from three-point land, moves well without the ball and doesn’t mind mixing it up inside for rebounds.

Another high-IQ guard prospect who’s crafty off the bounce and has shown he can knock down shots on the perimeter with consistency; can certainly improve in the strength department but he’s still got a knack for finishing in traffic and creating through contact; due for a strong senior year after averaging 11.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.2 apg and 1.8 spg in 2024-25 with Laney High

A sizeable guard prospect at 6-foot-5 who had a productive grassroots campaign with Eastern Carolina Phenomz ; shown off a much more polished game with his ability to attack off the bounce and knock down shots off the catch; versatile prospect with length and solid playmaking ability

Lamb is a shifty lead guard to keep an eye on over at Laney High in the Wilmington area. He’s a gritty competitor who can get to his spots in the paint while also shooting the cover off the ball and keeping others involved in the flow of the offense. A prospect for DII and DIII programs to track given his growth over the past few seasons.

One of the leading scorers in the event, Lamb plays the game with great pace and feel that seems to allow him to never get sped up. He picked his spots well and scored with ease in all three of his contests, hitting three pointers off the catch, continuously attacking the rim, and drawing his fair share of fouls. He also rebounded the ball at a solid level, which initiated multiple rip and run opportunities. He averaged a tournament high 26 points per game.

Lamb averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game in quite the breakout junior year with Laney High this past season. He shot 45 percent from the field and knocked down 124 field goals to lead the Buccaneers’ offensive attack this past season. He’s a prospect to keep eyes on with Eastern Carolina Phenomz this spring/summer given his prowess to create off the bounce for himself and others.

Lamb was another face with TSG Hoops to keep an eye on at the 252 Summer Finale. He’s shown he can operate at either guard role as both a facilitator and scorer at 6-foot-4 all-weekend long and finished the weekend averaging nearly double-figures in both scoring and rebounding as one of the leaders for their squad on the hardwood. He’s a prospect at Laney High to keep an eye on alongside his brother, Whit.

Lamb was quite the scoring/ballhandling presence with TSG Hoops this grassroots cycle as he works his way onto the PrepHoops radar. He produced 5.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game with Laney High as a sophomore on varsity this past season. He’s an intriguing guard prospect at 6-foot-4 who’s shown he can operate with and without the ball in his hands in the backcourt. His growing confidence as a playmaker on the floor should carry him over the next few seasons. He’s a rising junior prospect to keep an eye on this upcoming season with Laney High as he works his way up the PH radar.
