Colin “CJ” Kearns, A 6-8 senior forward is sneaky athletic when it comes to rim protection as he is an above-average rebounder with great length. He is also a reliable three-level scorer whether it’s coming from in the post or can extend his range up to 15-20 feet out. He is unafraid to draw contact on his drives where he can get to the free throw line as well. On the defensive end, Kearns can guard positions 1 through 4 where he can challenge shots out on the perimeter as well as in the paint. The 6-7 small forward excels at a lot of roles whether it’s setting screens or running a pick-and-roll offense. Kearns has a high basketball IQ and his versatility makes him more of a combo guard than the wing position. His shooting stroke has been impeccable from the interior as he shot 50 percent from the field this past season at Rockledge. His defensive rebounding and ability to block shots rose to the occasion at the Florida Rebels Invitational where he averaged 12 rebounds and 3 blocked shots per game.
