A talented athlete, McClurg did a nice job of using his physicality on the offensive end to get where he wanted. In drives, McClurg wasn’t pushed off his driving angle and could shield his body from defenders thanks to his handle and strength. Late in the game, senior Andrew Ketner hit two clutch 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and another in overtime to secure the win. Minster has one of the better 1-2 senior punches in Division VII with McClurg at point guard and Cole Albers Cole Albers 6'8" | C/PF Minster | 2026 State OH at center. Despite a mediocre record, I think this team is very dangerous in the postseason.

It is hard not to be a fan of McClurg and his game. This player is as skilled as you need him to be because he can do anything you need him to do offensively. He does a great job of attacking from all three levels of the court. He is a tough kid who plays with an extremely high motor. He is a player you want on your team because of these traits, and he also has a ton of experience going into his senior year. NWO always has these hidden gems and dogs, and McClurg is one of them.  

Every season small college programs flock to watch NW Ohio because they know kids from their program are going to be tough and skilled. McClurg fits both of those descriptions as the lead ball handler for a Minster squad that has a dynamic point guard / post duo with McClurg and Hillsdale commit Cole Albers Cole Albers 6'8" | C/PF Minster | 2026 State OH . The MAC has state championship DNA year-round and after Marion Local came up short in the state championship game, I think Delphos St John’s and Minster could be contenders this season.
