About Clyde
Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Walters is a talented, versatile combo forward out of Alabama who can score at all three levels. He handles the ball well for his size and has shown significant improvement as a perimeter shot maker. An above-average athlete, he runs the floor effectively and creates matchup problems with his skill set. With his combination of size, versatility, and continued development, Walters has considerable upside.

Walters is a 6’7″ wing out of Brewster Academy. The 2027 prospect is an elite two-way prospect that uses his athleticism, length, and motor to his advantage on both ends of the floor. He can score it in multiple ways, has a high motor on the offensive glass, and is an impressive playmaker with the ball in his hands. While he continues to improve as an all-around offensive performer, he’s already an elite wing defender that can guard any position on the floor. He’s got terrific length, elite lateral mobility, and the athleticism to make plays on or off the ball. He’s a high major prospect that should continue to turn heads this winter in the NEPSAC.

put on a high level shot making display. He was letting it rip from downtown with a lighting quick release using his long arms to make step backs and deep NBA range threes. He also rebounded and passed the ball effectively.

Walters impressed on both ends of the floor and is very fluid with the way he moves his body. He scored the ball in many different ways and showed off his athleticism by playing above the rim. His light feet allow him to cover a ton of ground on the defensive end and has good timing collecting steals. Walters is one on the best prospect in the entire northeast region and should have colleges knocking down his door in the coming months.

Walters was buried behind a host of D1 prospects last season, but he’s in a really good position to be an impact starter for Brewster Academy this year. The 6-foot-7 wing is long and wiry with a smoothness to his game that’s rare to find. He can shoot it on the perimeter but also gets well above the rim for dunks. Defensively, he has good instincts in the passing lanes and uses his insane wingspan to get steals and leak out for layups. He’ll have a lot more responsibility this season for powerhouse Brewster Academy, and he looks like he could still be filling out physically. Such a bright future for Walters.

Walters, a high scoring wing out of Brewster Academy, has been a standout this spring while running with the Alabama Fusion. A gifted scorer with terrific positional size, he has the ability to get baskets at all three levels. While he’s really good when he can get out in transition, he’s continued to improve as an isolation scorer, showing the ability to quickly get into his shot off the bounce. He defends well on the perimeter, using his length to his advantage on the ball, and shows goods instincts when making plays in passing lanes.

This was the first time I had ever seen Walters play, and boy was I impressed. The 6-foot-7 wing is only a sophomore but is a lot more comfortable in his body than most big wings that age. He moves fluidly up and down the court and has a nice handle and three-point shot for his size. His body also looks like it has some maturing to do and I could imagine him looking a lot different physically in a couple of years. Walters also showcased some solid passing chops and a good understanding of how the ball should move. The Alabama native is being looked at by high major schools, and I don’t blame them.
