Immediately pops out because of legit size and functionality. Possesses a broad body with mobility on both ends. Saw him play against an opponent with 6’6, 6’7, and 6’8 class of 2027 guys and even with that age gap he faired well and held his own. The poise and patience he had going up against similar size was fundamentally sound. Works the block and dunker spots and is a will full passer once receiving it if kick out options are there. Saw him vs another smaller but speedier team and he again knew how to play with his back to the basket or from the elbow. Gains a lot of attention immediately on the catch but has matured feel for age to recognize different schemes defensively. Clears space within flow. The upside for Lepper will be fun to track through the next 3 years.

It’s really early but I have a feeling that Brennan Lepper is going to get the nickname, “Baby Joker,” before the end of his high school career because of his ability to pass, handle, and score at 6’8. There were several moments in this contest where Lepper made solid passes up the floor to his guards for transition buckets. Within the half court they fed him in the middle of the floor out of the post and he used that combination of size and passing to cause some chaos. When you look at his game on both ends of the floor, there is a lot to like. If Murray Elite 15U can continue to make him the center piece that all their offensive action runs through, they are going to have a lot of success moving into the future.
