has emerged as a top prospect to know in the state as he debuts at No. 6 in the 2027 rankings. He’s a 5-foot-11 guard who ranks third in all of North Carolina in scoring with 30.6 points per game on 54 percent shooting from the field and 30 percent from 3-point land. He’s surpassed the 40-point plateau three different times and the 30-point plateau six times as the Raptors are 9-11 on the season. Not bad for a sophomore leading the way!

Jones is another 2027 prospect to make note of at Mountain Island Charter. He’s another top scoring presence, according to MaxPreps, as he ranks No. 4 in the state in scoring (30.5 points per game) with his squad at 7-6 on the year. He’s shooting 55 percent on the year as he’s shown he’s worthy of attention on the recruiting scene very soon.

Jones has hit the ground running with Mountain Island Charter on the NCHSAA stage this season. He’s nearly averaging 30 points per game at 29.7 points per contest along with 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game through seven games in 2024-25. He’s a big reason for their latest five-game winning streak as they’re 6-3 on the year. He’s already gone off for 45 points on 17-olf-23 shooting from the floor and remains an efficient scorer inside the arc, shooting 61 percent on the season. Jones is one of the top scorers in the class and the area as only a freshman, setting him up for potentially a big high school career to come. He averaged 21.3 PPG on 53% shooting from the floor, operating around the rim and the painted area for most of the season. Also has shown he can shoot the three ball a bit, but will need developing and more open CnS opportunities in order to increase his percentage.
