About Chris
Expert Analysis
Kyle Sandy | Prep Hoops Scout
Rhodes has wide shoulders and a wiry frame with functional strength. He’s patient on offense, using ball fakes and clean footwork down low to score. Chris can open up the floor with his mid-range jumper and can play with power when he needs to. Rhodes is a good rebounder and times his jumps well when blocking shots. Chris does everything you could ask for from a high school big man.

The always reliable forward put up 6 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks in Madison County’s 64-56 win against Seckinger. Chris is patient when he catches on the low block and high post. He waits to see what the defense does before making his move as either a scorer or passer. Rhodes knocks down the mid-range jumper consistently, scores with his back to the basket and is a good passer out of the post. His ability to block shots is key for Madison County’s backline.

I liked Rhodes’ post game. He’s a lean forward but has broad shoulders and can play with functional power. He’s patient inside, using ball fakes when scoring around the rim. Chris is comfortable stepping outside to shoot the mid-range jumper and is effective diving out of screens, able to catch and finish on the move. Chris is a sturdy rebounder and a solid rim protector that can surprise opponents with how well he blocks shots. Rhodes put up 9 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. Small schools will want to check in.
