It was impossible to watch WesTech on Saturday without being struck by the raw outlines of Nnebe’s frame. A deep reserve on the Panthers’ sectional title team last year, he’s been thrust into the starting five and catches the eye immediately with his size and massive length on the perimeter. He’s still extremely skinny but moves but moves really well in space while staying active in pursuit of the ball. Nnebe plays more of a frontcourt role for the Panthers right now but shows potential to move further to the wing over time. Nnebe may never be much of a ballhandler but the path to real 3-and-D value is clear if he can develop into even a mildly reliable perimeter shooter.
