Simbeck is a fundamentally sound guard whose feel for the game consistently stands out. He processes the action quickly, reads and reacts on the fly, and rarely forces the issue. Offensively, he can score in a variety of ways and is a legitimate threat from beyond the arc—leave him open and he will make defenses pay. Simbeck also showed strong playmaking instincts, using his court vision to create quality scoring opportunities for his teammates. His unselfish approach, high basketball IQ, and winning DNA make him the type of player whose game should translate seamlessly to the college level.

Simbeck is a sound floor general who flat out knows how to play the game. He does a nice job reading and reacting to situations on the fly. Has extended range from behind the three point line. Simbeck does a nice job of scoring from different spots on the floor. He plays off of two feet and has no issue about using a jump stop. He is a tad on the smaller side which might have him a cap on how high of a level of college basketball he can play at.
