About Chase

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I feel that I can adjust to many game play styles. I can run a team and put pressure of defenses without scoring the ball. I can score at will if asked of me. Defensively I love guarding the best player and I can guard any 1-4 occasionally I can guard the 5 position. Im a point guard who can make every pass and every read. I love to play with good Tempo. Im never sped up I play at my pace!!!!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My Mentality on the court or dealing with Basketball is Leave it all on the court and trust the work that I’ve put in. I feel as though I will outwork anyone. My personality is calm and cool, I try to never get too high or get too low. Never show too much emotion. Even Keel

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in National Honors Society, Drama Club, Arts Club and Spanish Club. Biggest Non Sport Award is my induction to Platinum National Honors Club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being on a Team without any seniors that played significant minutes and my early success led to being thrown into the fire early. It showed me early that I had to be vocal and show leadership on and off the court as I am viewed as someone the team/coaches rely on a lot. I am active in community service events for batter woman, homeless food drives and youth sports. I’ve always put team success 1st

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I tore my meniscus 1 week before playoffs my team was primed to make a strong playoff run. Physically I couldn’t help my team how was able to all season. This showed me how I had to assist my teammates in other ways. 3 months later I tore my AC Joint in my shoulder during a critical time of AAU season preparing for upcoming live periods. These Challenges would have made most Quit. I Prevailed.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that has good academics and has a strong student engagement.

Barker is a next level bucket getter and he looks like a college player right now. He has the size, strength, mobility and IQ to manage a college team. He is tough on both sides of the ball and really a complete player. He can score from all three levels, and his turnaround mid-range shot is a weapon in his arsenal that cant be stopped when he runs out of options in the offense. Barker is an easy pick for next-level success. Every coach can use a three-level scorer with his type of court intelligence and motor.
