How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I would describe my play style as simple. I play within the fundamentals of the game. Although my craft isn’t to where I want it to be I believe I can make it better. I’m an efficient shooter and can play defense. I’m a vocal player on the court and always ready to uplift my teammates at all times.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I have a “don’t give up” mentality. Even if we’re down by 5, 10, 3 , or even 1 no matter how much time is left I’m playing until the clock stops. If I lose I would like to know that I lost fighting.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I play for Elite Crusaders and I also play for New York Breaddreamers. Both are New York AAU teams and other than that I don’t play anywhere else. I’ve received multiple honor roll awards in school and I have a high gpa. I’ve also won two lacrosse championships my sophomore and junior year at my Highschool Christopher Columbus Campus in the Bronx.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve learned how to fight through adversity on and off the court, this game has helped my leadership skills off the court rather than on the court. I’ve also learned how to reach out to more people and get to know others without being shy.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
My junior year of Highschool I didn’t play at all, I’m now in my senior year and I’ve worked so hard over the summer to show the coaches I have what it takes to get on court. I’ve always been underestimated my whole life because of my size and I will prove everyone wrong when they see how much skill and talent I have on the hardwood.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that Perseus their education more than anything and has a good athletic department, but any and every college will be a great destination for me.
