displayed his scoring prowess against Green Valley. He used some deceptive ball-handling to shake his defender on a few of his drives to the rim and splashed a couple of long range 3-pointers. I was also a fan of the way he competed until the very end.

Last we left, Abittan was making an impact in the state tournament with his shooting, so he’s not technically a newcomer. If the sniper piggybacks from last season’s success keep an eye out for him to double as a potential breakout player as well.

Shooting is so important, and that’s definitely one thing Abittan can do. His ceiling is tied directly to the fact that he will probably be getting more volume this year, plus the 2A prospect spent the summer playing against elite competition while running with Prominent Elite.

Abittan should be running with Prominent Elite this weekend. He brings one of the most important skills to the court, shooting. Look for the Long Range Bomber to produce more than his share of multiple made three pointer games this season.

We will be putting out our Way To Early High School Preview next month, keep an eye out for Abittan to be one of the most integral part of LMCA ultimate success next season. He’s a knock down shooter, with multi make ability. Watch for him this Grassroots season, as he plays with a Prominent Elite squad known for taking on all comers. Playing against consistent bigger, stronger, faster comp, should go a long way into making him a major piece for the 2A contributors.

With everyone looking for shooters, expect Abittan to be in high demand. I was thoroughly impressed when I saw the sharpshooter during the state tournament. Coming off a year that saw him average nearly 9ppg for a 2A Final four squad he enters close to the top 50 in his first appearance.

Love to see freshman shooters perform under pressure. Abittan introduced himself to the state with a terrific shooting performance in the semis. He moved well without the ball, and showed terrific fundamentals getting his shot off screens. He finished with multiple threes in the Eagles semifinal contest.
