About Cayden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a team first guard who is able to make the right plays. I am a shooter who can hit many shots in a row once I am warmed up. I have a high basketball IQ and I give it 100% every time I'm on the court, whether I am playing defense offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to hustle for everything and give it 100%. The main goal at the end is to win, but I also believe that when we give everything 100%, we will be successful. My personality is I'm a team player who cheers on my teammates and brings them up when they feel down. I feel comfortable and I trust my teammates, so I will give the ball to them if they are open.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In school, I am the Chaplain of my school and I have been a representative on High School Student Council for 2 years. I have been involved in many organizations within the school that help new students become comfortable with the school and help them make a community that they are comfortable with (Link Crew and Claw Team). I also got inducted into the National Honors Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many skills in leadership by having to speak in front of the school for Student Council, and showing leadership with the Link Crew, my basketball team, and with my classmates. Throughout the school year, I do many acts of community service, whether it is helping neighbors, helping charities, or serving around my school and church.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced some challenges, such as basketball challenges that I had to overcome, like being benched for almost an entire year. That made me work harder, and now I am becoming a role player. I also face some challenges with school, whether if it is keeping the homework together, have meetings for Student Council, and tutoring others, I pray to God and he gives me the strength to overcome these.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a good culture and has my desired major, so I can get a good education at that college. It is also my dream to play basketball in college, so I am also looking for a college that will have a spot open on their roster that involves my skill sets. I will be happy to go to any college, once I learn a college that is interested in me, I will do research about them.
