Over the years there has been a long list of small, explosive, and entertaining lead guards to play in Baltimore City. Rountree stands 6-foot on his best day, but consistently brings a blend of flare, edge, and intriguing playmaking ability to the floor for Mervo. His foot is always on the gas and he’ll expose a scoring opportunity for himself with the best of them. He has end-to-end speed to thrive in an up-tempo pace, a tight handle to ensure security, and improv skills when the offense breaks down. This Mervo team has a few key contributors heading into their first season under head coach Josh Czerski, but when it comes to breaking down who could be their best underclassman, you won’t get far before getting to Rountree.
