About Carter

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a great team player with a high basketball IQ. I have a passion for basketball and I work on my game everyday including strength training through school and on my own. I handle the ball well and see the court great too. I love to play defense, take charges, and rebound. I can shoot from all areas on the floor and I have some really good moves to get separation.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very unselfish person and player. I get along with everyone in school, but I am a tough competitor on the court. I work very hard at everything I do in school and basketball. I also have other interests such as fishing, football and statistics.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received several awards at school including the prestigious Leadership Award for all 8th graders at Community School of Naples (CSN).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a great listener and my coaches tell me that I'm coachable. My teammates and I get along really well. I have respect for others and I like being a leader. I can also fit in with any team. For example, I play with a couple teams as a guest player and we learn from each other. I volunteer at a local animal preserve.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I first attended my current school, I was not prepared for the academics. I had to work very had as I didn't do well the first semester. I learned how to study and take test to achieve higher scores. I'm now near the top of my class.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to attend a college with strong academics and a great basketball program. I don't mind playing anywhere in the country as long as I get a chance to play in my first couple of years.
